If I had to guess I would say yes, and I think most would agree. However, there are so many factors that you can't count on it either way. If you are trying to time the market in buying a house I suggest that you don't. If you can find something now that you are happy with the payment on, do it and don't look back or second guess yourself. I'm happy to help with the financing or just give you advice. Yes.. every indicator is pointing to higher rates.. as we see the economy recover, and as we see housing numbers grow, this all leads to a healthier overall economy.. Currently, the Federal Reserve is forcing interest rates to remain low by purchasing Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS). Because they have been the biggest purchaser of these MBS's, it has artificially kept rates low.. but the Fed Reserve has announced the easing/slowing of these securities, which would make rates go up.. if your looking to purchase or refinance, I suggest you jump in and do it now.. Tara, All indications are rates are likely headed higher in the months to come. As our economy continues to slowly improve, rates will follow in terms of a gradual increase. The FED's have indicated they will not make any drastic increases and promise to only increase them slowly over time. Hope this helps you. Contact me if you have any further questions. I can do mortgages statewide including the Enid area. Thank You!Steve CooleySooner Lending
